Here’s a guitar piece from Bill Vencil. He’s playing a Lowden O35, tuned to CGDGAD.

Bill says, “The song developed as I created a series of improvisations around what became the opening rhythmic motif of the song.  While this was going on, I kept thinking about how I am so often unwilling to be totally honest with others, God and myself.  Unwilling to get to the heart of the matter, as it were.  In addition, the Catholic and Anglican concept of the Sacred Heart of Jesus kept intertwining itself in the proceedings.  A graphic representation of Christ’s love. The true Heart of the matter.”

One and the Same is the songwriting team of Rachel MacKay and Mitzi Shetzline. They are gifted musicians/vocalists, as well as worship leaders.

Regarding The Father Will Find You, Rachel says that, of all their songs, this one might resonate with people the most.

“I wrote it because I was thinking about how people will often say, ‘I found God.’ But I would think, God isn’t lost- we are. He finds us whether for the first time or for the millionth time. If we’re His, we always are and always were and He sees to that even when we try to run the other way.”

This track, as well as all tracks from their CD “Someday” can be found at most digital music services.
